The Good Society

When the small planning team in 1988 was creating the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy in our Chair's (David Johnston) office at McGill University, we went around the table and stated what we thought would be the best solution for implementing sustainable development. At that time, I replied nuclear fusion, never thinking it would take so long to develop. This Guardian article states that MIT scientists and a private sector partner believe they can put fusion power on the grid in 15 years. This would be a gigantic leap forward in moving our world to more sustainable futures.
