Anirudh Sharma, a former co-leader at MIT Media Lab India Initiative, recently invented a device to turn soot from car exhaust into black ink and paint.
His invention is a metal unit that fits onto the vehicle’s exhaust pipe—like a ‘trash can’—and traps the soot particles while allowing gases to pass through. In just a single pen, users are holding the results of 30 to 50 minutes of diesel pollution.
